This week’s guest is Deborah Albers. Deb’s BF (before fulfillment) to AF (after fulfillment) is a story that you’re going to want to share with others.
On this episode, Deb tells her story of how she and her husband decided to go forward with brain surgery to deal with her debilitating condition. The procedure she agreed to undergo has a certain mortality rate. She didn’t know if she would make it.
Fortunately, Deb survived the procedure. After a long recovery, she decided to do things differently. She couldn’t recover the time she lost with her husband and two daughters from 70 hour-work weeks and traveling 100 nights per year. She realized that what she thought had made her happy in her hard-charging career didn’t fulfill her. She went to work for a non-profit and committed to a work schedule that prioritizes her family and her devotion to writing children’s books.
Tune in to hear Deb’s life-changing realization of the true meaning of fulfillment. You’ll want to share this episode with someone, in particular, someone early in their career who is on a similar path as Deb was early in her career.
