Welcome to my takeaway episode from my conversation with Dr. Carol Parker Walsh on episode 74 about finding fulfillment in your midlife career.
In my takeaway episode, I’m discussing what you can do to make a career shift in midlife if you’re not where you want to be.
If you’re not fulfilled in your midlife career, you’re not alone. In fact, it’s not your fault that you are where you are in your career.
My challenge to you is to answer this question. What are you doing about it? Remember that nothing changes if nothing changes.
Start by owning it.
Be self-aware that you’re not where you want to be, and it’s not your fault. Then, ask yourself “What am I going to do about it?
What are your current values? If your career doesn’t align with your current values, that needs to change. Are you willing to address that imbalance?
Think about all the things you love to do where time flies and you’re the most fulfilled.
On this episode, I challenge you to approach this conundrum with the mindset of owning that you’re not where you want to be in your career. I remind you that if you believe you can, you’re right. If you believe you can’t, you’re right.
A career rebel adopts the mindset of “I believe I can.” A career rebel creates an action plan to find a career chapter that is fulfilling.
Listen to episode 75 and leave me a voice message to tell me how you’re aligning your current values with your career.
